Hebrews 2

Acts 7:53 and Galatians 3:19 point to angels as messengers from God, and every thing they announced came true. Salvation was announced by Jesus, by others, and by the great power of God through signs, wonders, miracles and gifts. Vs 6-8 are quotes of Psalms 8:4-6. Everything is in God’s control, through Christ, even if we don’t see it. Vs 9 contrasts Jesus, his earthly name, with Christ or Messiah, His divine name. God planned our salvation from the beginning. Jesus has set us apart as holy, uniting us as siblings with Him under our one Father, God. Psalm 22:22 and Isaiah 8:17-18 foretell the founder of our salvation, Jesus, looking forward to the great joy He will find in showing the Father to us through His life and suffering. ❤️ Jesus offered himself as the perfect sacrifice to bring us back in to God’s favor.

The angels are important, but they do not carry the image of their Maker like we do. Jesus became like us in every way so He can completely understand our plight. Jesus was made like us, then crowned with glory and honor when He declared victory over death.

Jesus shared God with us, singing His praises in our midst. That changes me because it brings the love of Christ to me, personally. He was looking forward to sharing the Good News with us, even knowing His own personal cost. He rescued me from lifelong slavery, both to sin and fear of death. How would I escape if I neglected such a great salvation? There is none higher. Praise be to God for this great gift. ❤️❤️❤️
