The palace is bigger than the temple, but it was for governing as well as a dwelling for the king and his family. Again, a LOT of details. vs 51 ends the chapter with King Solomon’s obedience, to God and his father David, by placing the dedicated items into the temple’s treasury. 2 Samuel 8:11;
1 Chronicles 18:11.
My reactions reading these verses 
It’s hard to find an application in verses like these. But God is in the details. He cared about the intricacies of the building of the temple and He cares about the intricacies of my life.
I don’t want to just gloss over the details of my life as just “God’s plan”. Help me to care about the details from start to finish
