1 Kings 3

Solomon loves the Lord vs 3. Solomon asks for discernment (acuteness of judgment and understanding), and God is pleased he asked for that instead of selfish things. Possibly the most famous scene in Solomon’s life takes place next, with the two women and one baby.

These verses (3-15) remind me of Aladdin and the genie ðŸ˜„ I love how Solomon, when offered by God ANY gift, first he recounts all that He has already done. Solomon asks for understanding, wisdom, and discernment. We may not be leading a nation, but the people we do lead need us to pray for and display these characteristics.

I will follow Solomon’s lead and ask for these attributes, that I may do Your work.
