The wealth of Solomon was not what drew people to him, it was his wisdom. It was so great that the Queen of Sheba traveled 1,400 miles just to see it for herself! Vs 23-24 says the whole earth sought the wisdom of Solomon! The wisdom “which God had put into his mind”. But what does that mean for us ? James 1:5 says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously without reproach and it will be given him.” The SAME GOD who gave Solomon wisdom will give generously to you, too. Will that wisdom draw queens and people from all over the world? Maybe not; but whoever God puts into our path, 1 Peter 3:15 encourages us to “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you..” (Just as Solomon answered all of the queen’s questions). Ask for wisdom, develop the wisdom,(Study God’s Word. James is a great place to start!!) and share the wisdom.
