"Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.."
Lovely--Pleasing; agreeable; dearly prized; (only time this word is used in the New Testament. It comes from two words meaning motion towards friendship and affection.)
OT--"How lovely is your dwelling place,
O Lord of hosts!
My soul longs, yes, faints
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and flesh sing for joy
to the living God." Psalm 84:1-2
NT--"For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. " Ephesians 5:8-11
Target--"I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being.
May my meditation be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the Lord." Psalm 104:3-4
