You may be thinking "didn't we just learn that God is maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen?" I considered taking the easy way out and sharing the same verses from days 4 and 5. 😆 But we aren't learning it twice, we're learning it from a different angle. The first 6 passages in our list repeat the truth that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit worked together in creation, but are not themselves created. They have existed, as One, since before time, and will always exist, and by them everything else exists. Revelation 4:11 has that being our cue to worship Him! But it was the next 7 passages that had me 😂 (face with tears of joy emoji!)
Job answers his friends' accusations against God by considering Creator God--"who alone stretched out the heavens and tramples the waves of the sea." In Matthew 14:25, we see Jesus doing just that--walking on the water He created.
Psalm 33:6 says by the Word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host. Hebrews 11:3 reminds us by faith (believing what we can't see), we understand that the universe was created by the word of God. John 1:1-3 identifies the Word of God as Jesus!
(This one is my favorite 💓) Jeremiah says that it is God who made the earth by His power, who established the world by His wisdom, and by His understanding stretched out the heavens. Paul teaches the Corinthians, and us, that Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God! I LOVE connecting these truths!
Learning about the Trinity--God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit--has stretched my mind; and we're not done! God is so kind to make all the many facets of Himself known to us. Because we have this statement of truth--Jesus Himself, the Statement of wisdom and power--let us believe and let us also speak. 💓
